Partnership Street-Based ASB and Cycle Safety Engagement and Enforcement Deployment in Leicester Square, the West End, and Chinatown   

This week in the Ward of St James, Westminster the boroughs ward team have been undertaking their normal patrols and duties. In addition the team were working with Westminster City Council on Monday June 22nd to undertake uniformed foot patrols with regards to targeting street based ASB as well as engaging with cyclists in Cycle safety engagement and enforcement activity.

This coordinated activity resulted in the following outcomes:

Arrests – Charing Cross Road  

One male arrested for theft (shoplifting) and common assault.

Community Protection Warnings  

Six issued for cycling on the highway.

Words of Advice / Verbal Warnings Cycling on highway 

Ten verbal warnings given for cycling on the highway.

Welfare Checks  

Four welfare checks carried out on members of the street population, with advice provided on available services.

Waste Enforcement  

Two Section 33 Fixed Penalty Notices issued for waste fly-tipping.

Dangerously Parked Dockless Bikes  

One Fixed Penalty Notice issued.
